On Twitter: @longisland495 Hey, NFL teams…not everyone can have Cowher and Gruden! It seems like this year, more than any other, there has been an out-of-control coaches’ carousel going on throughout the NFL. Head coaches getting fired mid-season, those that are staying somehow, and those that got fired after the year are all yearly headlines. This year, it seems as if coaching speculation is purely out of control. So which teams have there been that have spent part of their season dealing with the job security of men with microphones…? New York Giants–Tom Coughlin’s team got out to a poor start early in the year then peaked mid-season. The poor start early in the year fueled speculation (partly because of the nature of New York City) that Coughlin’s Super Bowl victory in 2007-08 vs. the undefeated Patriots had become a thing of the distant past. In New York, YESTERDAY is part of the distant past. After NY choked to the Eagles, got blown out by the Packers, and failed to make the playoffs, Coughlin’s job security was once again in question. Since the Giants beat Washington in Week 17, it probably saved Coughlin’s job even with Bill Cowher saying that he wanted the job…and the entire city of NY backing the former Steeler coach. Tennessee Titans-Jeff Fisher has been embroiled in a beef with owner Bud Adams over who should be the starting QB of the team. Fisher wanted Kerry Collins while Adams seemed to be fully committed to Vince Young. VY’s supposed maturity issues
