Paul the octopus, one of the stars of the 2010 World Cup thanks to his ‘psychic’ abilities, has died. The mystic mollusc gained world prominance, after correctly predicting the outcome of all of Germany’s results this summer. By climbing into a box bearing a nations flag, he even went on to predict Spain would win the final. It remains a mystery whether Paul saw this coming… He died of natural causes, and his owners plan to set up a special memorial in the oceanarium where he lived.
