2010 NFL preseason wagering probabilities don’t list the Pittsburgh Steelers as the faves in the AFC North.

The Houston Texans are a squad that should put up lots of points in 2010 NFL preseason betting. They have a quality offense directed by quarterback Matt Schaub and wide receiver Andrew Johnson but an average defense. The Texans are 26-1 underdogs in NFL preseason lines to win the Super Bowl.

The Houston Texans are listed as 3-1 to win the AFC South division by 2010 NFL preseason betting probabilities. The Texans begin their preseason at Arizona on August 14th. They proceed on the road in Week 2 at the defending Super Bowl champion Saints. Dallas and Tampa Bay will face them at home in their final two preseason games.

Given that they only have Dan Orlovsky as the backup quarterback, the Houston Texans might struggle in NFL preseason lines. He was not that good with Detroit but if anything happens to Schaub, Houston could have to use him this year. The Texans have the top receiver in football wagering lines in Andre Johnson, but he won’t play a lot in the preseason. Despite the fact that Kevin Walter has been reliable, the Texans do need a few other participants to step up at receiver. The great news for Houston is that tight end Owen Daniels has recuperated from injury. The Houston Texans still don’t have a constant running game. Arian Foster has not established he can last a full year while Steve Slaton is inconsistent. The squad did get Ben Tate in the draft so perhaps he can assist.

The defense starts off the year already in big trouble. Pro Bowl linebacker Brian Cushing is suspended for the first four matches of the year. In the course of the early part of the season, he is going to be missed. The secondary isn’t quite great and with Cushing out they are going to be even worse since they will need to help stop the run. The Texans were saved time and again last year by safety Bernard Pollard. He made major plays in the secondary and was a big run stopper.

The Houston Texans do not have much depth though they’re a squad that has lots of skill. They’re done if Schaub or Johnson gets injured. Their defense is furthermore weak and the loss of Cushing really hurts. Houston is always viewed as a team that can make the playoffs. Since Gary Kubiak has had more than enough time, if they don’t make it this year they might be looking for a new head coach.
