UFC 260 Embedded: Vlog Series – Episode 3
Champ Stipe Miocic customizes his training room. Co-main stars
[traffic noises]
>> You got to do
repetition kicks,
not in combination, just.
>> Get the rust off the bolts.
Too late.
>> Who’s the first person
who’s gonna hit their head.
Stipe.
>> It was me.
>> It wasn’t me or Bobby.
[laughing]
>> Hold on.
Actually.
I know I’m not gonna do it.
[bleep]
Your hand is gonna go —
I can’t reach it
>> Don’t do it, don’t do it.
>> Oh!
Got you.
>> Get that tape and
pull it off to the side.
>> Smarter not harder.
You can make it
way harder.
>> You can tape it
up to the ceiling.
>> It’s not gonna work.
[cross talk]
>> Close the
door on it.
>> Put your knee down.
Like twist it.
>> I don’t know if that
made it any higher, though.
>> Look, I clear enough.
>> Alright. Alright.
I don’t know if Stipe will.
>> Whoa [bleep] Jesus, guys.
That ain’t necessary.
[bleep]
What happened, my
coach broke my knee.
[laughing]
>> We’re gonna do some
light technical stuff,
but like, I’m gonna let him do
any combinations really,
we’re still gonna gear it.
We’ll guide it–
we’ll end up guiding it
toward what we’re gonna do.
Because once we–
>> You hate these.
>> I’m cramping.
[bleep]
>> Are you serious right now?
>> Yeah, you know.
Nothing about a
shoulder cramping.
>> If you’re cramping–
>> I was.
>> Do you have any other gloves?
>> No.
>> Cut ’em.
>> Are you serious.
It’s here.
>> It’s gotta go around here.
[cross talk]
>> Dude, these
are [bleep] tight.
>> Give me two seconds.
>> I might lose them too.
Lose an elbow.
[traffic noises]
[airport noises]
>> How are you?
>> Okay, and you?
>> Good.
Vicente and that’s Mario.
>> Nice to meet you.
>> Nice to meet you.
So, I just got
here to Las Vegas
flying from Brasilia, Brazil.
And different weather over here.
It’s a little bit chilly
from what I’m used to.
But I like it.
I’ve always liked, you
know, some cool weather.
I’m excited for the fight.
Just cut the weight down,
and then fight night.
It’s gonna be great.
[beeping]
>> Yeah, it feels
good to be here.
Feels like
I’m at work.
You know, I
land in Vegas,
it’s like I’m about
to go turn up, so.
I’m excited to go
out there and perform.
I’m excited about
the performance.
It’s all I really think about.
Only thing I can control
is my performance.
The last couple
of times around,
it wasn’t what I plan
for, train for, so
trying to just control that
and let everything
else control itself.
>> First time flying
to Vegas for a fight.
My last six fights
have been here,
but first time flying here.
Hey, let’s go, Tim. Hey!
>> Let’s go.
>> You ready?
>> Yeah.
I never stopped training.
It’s been about 10 years of
consistent training, so.
It’s just another fight.
[bleep] ready to go.
>> Thank you, sir.
>> Thank you, sir.
>> Alright.
>> The same side I
knocked out Eddie.
Same side of the hotel.
>> True.
With feeling.
>> And I woke up the
same weight today
as when I fought Eddie
last month on a Tuesday.
>> Exactly the same?
That’s crazy.
Balling.
>> Let’s get this party going.
[cross talk]
>> Last time–
>> Remember, when
you knocked out Eddie,
it was over here though.
>> Yeah, but I kinda
like the TV in the wall.
>> I’m liking the feel
of this one, though.
>> Oh, it feels good to be back.
It feels so [bleep]
good to be back.
Healthy, ready to go.
Let me check out your spot.
[bleep]
Feels good to be back.
[chatter]
>> It’s just basics.
Get loose.
Get a good workout in
before we go to our quarantine.
>> Keep walking.
Keep walking.
[bleep] nearly
popped my head off.
>> Yeah.
Let me see the
arm triangle again.
What you’re doing is
already good, but if you
drop your hips, it’s
gonna get even tighter.
I’ve only worked
with him a little bit,
but he is such a freak athlete
makes him a little tricky
to work with.
Because some things he can
get away with doing wrong.
But when you add the
perfect technique in it,
and it’s so dangerous.
Drop this right here.
Now flex your bicep.
Yeah, he’s tapping,
tapping, tapping.
He’s a guy I would
love to work with more,
because his
potential is unlimited.
Just the little
things, he can do,
he can make work so well.
I won’t go standup with him,
because he’s so explosive.
>> You gotta say, “Sparta.”
Nice.
>> We’re just
looking for reactions.
Remember strong
defeats the weak.
Smart defeats the strong.
[grunting]
That’s okay, champ.
Don’t worry.
That’s okay.
We don’t care.
You gonna hit
him like that too,
and knock his ass out.
That’s the way it works.
He’s ready.
Everyone knows the story.
They know the characters.
We know the ending.
Keep pushing the
limit, shot perfect.
>> Putting against 2018 Stipe
and 2021 Stipe,
what’s the difference
in those two guys?
>> It definitely has changed.
My training has changed.
My IQ has changed
in the fight game.
You know, my
strength and conditioning,
my– a lot of
things have changed.
I’ve definitely
gone and evolved.
Because if you don’t
evolve in this sport,
you’re not getting any better.
And I’ve definitely evolved, so.
I said all you’re gonna hear
on Saturday is and still,
and me walking out with the
belt wrapped around my waist.
Nothing is gonna change.
>> Stipe, thank you so
much and best of luck.
We are so excited to
watch you this weekend.
>> Thank you, God bless.
You guys have
a great week, alright?
>> You as well.
>> Bye guys.
>> Bye.
[fart rips]
>> Oh, let’s talk about that.
In the middle of an interview,
you drop a huge bomb, bro.
The girl looked at me like this.
>> I though I was in here.
>> I think they
caught it on camera.
>> I’m sorry.
I didn’t mean to.
>> You did mean it.
Why would you do that?
>> Are you being serious?
>> Yeah, why would you do that.
I mean, I’m doing an int–
>> I didn’t think it was
gonna come out like that.
[laughing]
>> That was awesome.
>> I went like this.
>> Bro, I was
trying not to laugh.
I’m like this.
[fart noises]
I’m like this, “Holy
[bleep] that was loud,”
in my mind.
I’m thinking in my mind, do I?
Do I?
>> It’s the cayenne pepper.
>> They probably
thought it was me.
So, guess what,
I’m gonna be a meme
for the rest of my life.
[dramatic theme music]
