Tim Tebow Through the Years

Tim Tebow’s life is built on two foundations: faith and football. Before arriving in Denver, he was born in the Philippines where his parents were serving as Christian missionaries, and grew up outside of Jacksonville, Fla. where he earned high school Player-of-the-Year honors twice. Through impassioned speeches, a Heisman Trophy, and two national championships, Tebow built a legendary career with the Florida Gators, and used that platform to spread the word of his devout Christian faith. He’s faced critics since he was the Broncos’ 2010 first-round draft pick, silencing some by going 6-1 as a starter. Isaac Slade, lead singer for Denver-based The Fray, hosts the piece. “I promise you one thing — a lot of good will come out of this. You will never have seen any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season and you will never see anyone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season and you’ll never see a team play harder the rest of the season. God bless.” — Tim Tebow, from his 2008 “The Promise” speech after a loss to Ole Miss
