January 7, 2010, Philadelphia Flyers @ Pittsburgh Penguins. This goal was disallowed after video review despite conclusive evidence of the puck in the net as well as logical deduction essentially predicting that it is in the net as it is nowhere else. This is the Comcast SportsNet feed though which had been piggybacking on the Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh feed. The NHL now claims that the camera angle showing the puck in the goal was never given to the Video Review in Toronto. However, FSN showed that angle AFTER the goal had been disallowed which at that point was now irreversible. Comcast had shown the angle before the decision but since Comcast has no power over the feed and was not responsible to give the footage to the NHL video review as well as probably not having the channels to do so, one must wonder how Toronto did not see this footage. The NHL has now launched an investigation into this. The NHL can take no action about it though FSN Pittsburgh now claims to be doing their own investigation on that matter: www.pittsburghlive.com Update: Apparently FSN Pittsburgh has suspended one of its producers over the matter sports.yahoo.com
