MAJOR SPOILERS!! Sakura thinks more and more about Shirou and remembers his promise that he will always be with her and protect her no matter what. Sakura holds firm to the belief that Shirou will one day come back, because he promised to her that they will see the cherry tree blossoms together in the springtime. She hoped that he would one day return and that she would atone for her sins. She waits and waits while she prepares the cherry-blossom trees so that Shirou would one day come back to see them. But years pass by and by and Sakura grows old. “Sempai, You’re late again, by the time you come back, I’ll be an old lady.” It becomes clear that Shirou never comes back.
