Lalgarh, June 27 (ANI): In what can be seen as a small step towards pulling the youth’s interest in sports, the state sports ministry organised a football match in the Maoist affected area of Lalgarh in West Bengal on Sunday. Thousands of local villagers came to see the match between Kolkata team, which was headed by West Bengal Sports Minister Madan Mitra’s team, and Jangalmahal 11, which was Lalgarh Football team. Central Rural Development Minister Sisir Adhikari, Paschimanchal (western) Affairs Minister Sukumar Hansdah and state Sports Minister Madan Mitra were also present during the occasion. Mitra told mediapersons that local budding footballers would be selected and sent for professional training soon.
