Football betting odds makers are prepping for event with the NFL preseason odds that will include a considerable amount of buzz with the Cowboys.

For Dallas and their prospects with the NFL preseason probabilities, football wagering expectations and exhilaration are at the highest levels in 20 years.

Since the very first day he bought the squad in the spring of 1989, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has never been timid about grabbing the spotlight. Jones first action on his first day was to terminate legendary hall of fame coach Tom Landry.

Jones has always captured the headlines through 3 Super Bowl champs and a host of letdowns and failures to the opening of his impressive over the top Cowboys Stadium a year ago.

Jones is optimistic about his team’s odds for the 2010 year. Only as crucial, Jones’ fantasy of hosting the Super Bowl with his own team in the competition has a solid chance of actually happening. If they do it, they’ll be the first NFL team in wagering history to host the Super Bowl competition in their home stadium. That could be more than enough motivation to give the squad the extra boost they want to get to the football wagering playoffs.

Dallas had a football sports wagering record of 9-7 vs the spread with ten of those games going under the total and 11-5 straight up a year ago. The Dallas Cowboys finished as NFC East Division champions and won a playoff game at home over Philadelphia ahead of being completely destroyed in the NFC playoffs not much later at Minnesota.

Overall it was a year in which notable improvement was shown as Dallas got better and grew stronger down the stretch, just the opposite of 2008 when they hit bottom and missed the playoffs in humiliating fashion.

Jones desire to win the Super Bowl next February in “Jerry’s World” is beyond apparent to everyone around Cowboys camp, even though he has tried to downplay the expectations of the 2010 season.

“There’s just not a whole lot of things not to like about the upcoming season,” the owner said. “But we all know the game and the journey we have ahead of us.” The Dallas Cowboys have to make amends for their horrific 3-34 online NFL sports gambling loss at Minnesota to end their Super Bowl dreams for 2009, which is something Jones has to concede despite the fact that he’s positive.

“We have got to make amends for, but that’s not all bad,” said Jones. “Where I think that I won’t be going is spending a lot of time talking about, ‘Well, we’re having the Super Bowl in the Super Bowl stadium, the expectation is to play the Super Bowl there.’” Jones needed to maintain continuity for the 2010 football betting campaign and it was a comparatively quiet offseason in Big D. With 40 pounds off his frame and a solid 33-15 career track record and an improving defense with his stamp on it, coach Wade Phillips is looking pretty svelte.

“We have a lot of starters who played well and are coming into the prime of their careers,” said Phillips.

The wallets of lots of bettors will agree.
